FEBRUARY FEATURED EVENTS

VALENTINE'S DAY LUNCH
Tuesday, February 12 at 12:30 p.m.
Cost: $7, due by February 10
Our annual Valentine’s lunch will be at the Kirtland Senior Center this year at 12:30 on Tuesday, February 14. The meal is catered by the Kirtlander and includes Italian wedding soup, spinach salad with their special dressing, and turkey club sandwich. We will also have champagne punch (non-alcoholic) and decadent chocolate fondue for dessert! Cost is $7 per person and due by February 10.

LADIES LUNCHEON
Wednesday, February 15 at12:30p.m.
Cost: $5, due by February 13
Ladies are invited to a luncheon from Max and Erma’s to include a chicken salad croissant sandwich, fruit salad, dessert and beverages. Cost is $5 per lady and due Monday, February 13.

MARCH FEATURED EVENTS
CHILI COOK OFF
Wednesday, March 7 at Noon
Sign-Up with Jenna
Join us for our second annual chili cook off on Wednesday, March
7 at Noon. Chefs needed! Enter your best recipe into the contest by
cooking a crock-pot sized batch! There is a $25 prize for each category: best overall, most original and best vegetarian. All contestants receive a weeks worth of free lunches from our Lunch Site. Anyone who wants to cook should sign up with Jenna and bring their chili in in a crock-pot (to keep it warm). Anyone who wants to attend should sign up with Jenna. Samples are a quarter
each or 5 for $1.00 and a bowlful is $1.00. To-go orders are unavailable.

ST. PATRICK’S DAY LUNCH
Thursday, March 15 at Noon
Cost: $5, catered by the Kirtlander
Serving traditional Irish Fare!

Activities / Membership Informaion

The Kirtland Senior Center offers a variety of recreational activities to adults 55 and over. Membership to the Senior Center is $10 for residents for the first year and $5 to renew each year thereafter. Members are mailed a copy of the Kirtland Senior Newsletter each month. The newsletter contains detailed information about ongoing and upcoming programs and activities. Activities include:

• Billiards Room
• Bingo - Tuesday at 12:15
• Birthday Celebration Lunch - 2^nd Friday of each month
• Bocce Ball
• Cards - Friday at 12:15
• Free Blood Pressure Checks - 4^th Thursday of each month
• Lunch – Monday through Friday at 11:30 (call 256-3194)
• Massage
• Meals on Wheels (call 205-8111)
• Monthly Book Talks - 4^th Tuesday of each month at 10:00
• Watercolor Painting
• Podiatry Services - 1^st Wednesday of each month
• Strength Training
• Tai Chi
• Video Magnifier
• Yoga

Lunch Information

Congregate lunches are served Monday through Friday through a program sponsored by the Lake County Council On Aging. The Lunch Site serves nutritious meals to adults 60 and over for a $1.25 donation. Meals-on-Wheels are also available from this site. Reservations are required for both and can be made by calling 256-3194.
