This Saturday, June 12, we have TWO opportunities for our residents to assist their neighbors.
The Mayor’s Action Network will be splitting into teams to help with some light landscaping at homes around the city. This is a great opportunity to get out with your friends and families and lend a hand! We’ll be meeting at City Hall just before 9:00 am and should be completed by 1:00 pm. Sign-ups are available at www.justserve.org (search for “Kirtland Community Day”).
ALSO on Saturday, the Red Cross will be hosting a Blood Drive at the Community Center. Did you know that many cancer patients, especially those undergoing chemotherapy, will require blood products during treatment? But there aren’t enough people donating blood and platelets regularly to meet the need. Join the American Red Cross and the American Cancer Society to #GiveBloodToGiveTime by scheduling a blood or platelet donation appointment: rcblood.org/3tTD9rV.
We are thankful for those who continually step up to help their brothers and sisters however they can!
