See attached/below for a memo from Mayor Potter regarding the resignation and retirement of Lance Nosse from the Kirtland Police Department. The Mayor appreciates the patience and support of both the community and the department as we work together through this transition and continue to support our Police.

RE: Lance Nosse
Date: June 18th, 2021

Yesterday afternoon, the City of Kirtland Law Department received notice that Lance Nosse tendered his resignation and retirement effective 7/2/2021. More details will be forthcoming as both legal teams work to finalize a mutual release between parties. Any and all questions related to the matter should be directed to the City of Kirtland Law Department.

The search for our next Police Chief will commence soon and in the meantime, in accordance with the Kirtland Police Collective Bargaining Agreement, Sgt. Jamey Fisher will continue to serve as Executive Officer of the Department.
