American Legion Post 609, along with the City of Kirtland, are sponsoring The City of Kirtland Hometown Heroes Banner Program. This program is a tribute created for the community to recognize and honor our residents and their immediate family members who are currently serving or veterans who have served our country in the armed forces.
Each banner is in honor of a specific Kirtland service person. The banner measures 24” x 54” and is double sided. The cost for a banner is $160. They will be displayed on the light posts along SR 306, at the Civic Center, and the Community Center, from May (Memorial Day) – November (Veterans Day). Banners will be returned to the sponsor once taken down or sponsors have the option to have them stored at the City.
The Banner Program applications are processed on a first come first serve basis. Orders for display in 2021 must be received by April 30, 2021. Placement is at the discretion of the City.
